The 12 Step Program
It seems that since I have moved to Chicago, every little task has required either assembly directions in a really foreign language or a 12 step program to complete. For instance, it all started on the way here with the flat tire, and only escalated from there. Yesterday, for instance, when I tried to buy a Chicago transit card on-line, the computer didn't like my information. It read "street address and Zip code to not match up." So... I entered the information again... 4 more times. And guess what, I ENDED UP PURCHASING 4 FRICKING CHICAGO CARDS which just happened to put my bank account balance in the RED!!! What a disaster! Then at school, the bursor tried to tell me that I owed $3,600 to come to Northeastern Illinois University. That's crazy! So, needless to say I had to work that out with LSU from 1,000 miles away, and because of that little miscommunication (which was not my fault, just in case my parents were wondering) I can't get my school ID card until Friday. Just another step in the program. I think this move will be interesting, once everything is settled, and I pray for my sanity that things are settled soon.
